Careers After Graduation:

The Irish food industry needs talented young graduates to help create innovative and nutritious food products that will enhance consumers’ lives. Currently there are excellent employment opportunities in the food industry with a shortage of appropriately qualified graduates. The food industry requires graduates with an understanding of nutrition, culinary skills and market trends. The salaries for graduate Food Technician/NPD roles range between €26,000 to €43,000 and the salary for graduates progressing to Food Product Development Manager roles in Ireland range between €45,000 to €90,000, not including car, bonuses, pension and health insurance. As with all careers, top salaries are dependent on excelling in your studies, gaining valuable experience and individual performance.

Tirlán has benefitted from placing BSc Nutrition, Food and Business Management students into Quality Internships in recent years.
We have found these students to be excellent, bringing technical lab skills as well as soft skills to our organisation.
The placement timeline enables students to get lengthy on-the-job experience and the opportunity to develop their professional skills.
This programme is playing an important role in bringing early career talent into the food industry.
